Dr. LaToya Asher
Owner, Physical Therapist & Pilates Instructor
LaToya S. Asher has practiced physical therapy for 13 years. She received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2004 from the University of Maryland Baltimore and a few years later she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2007.
Dr. Asher is a dedicated life learner and has taken many continuing education courses that include Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars that focus on peripheral & orthopedic manual therapy and Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute to evaluate and treat Sacroiliac Joint and Pelvic Ring.

Jae Sook
Massage Therapist
Jae Sook is a gifted and talented therapist. Jae Sook studied at the Potomac Massage Training Institutes (PMTI) in Washington, DC area in 1999. She worked as the lead Reflexologist at Robert Andrew Salon and Day Spa in Gambrills, Maryland for 5 years before opening her own practice. Jae Sook is a talented and gifted practitioner and has been a dedicated staff member to Pilates Plus Wellness Center for 10 years and we are appreciative that she continues partner with our staff and clients at PPPTW.

Jae Sook says, “I’m so blessed to work with such fantastic therapists, as we work well together to serve our clients”. “Throughout 20 years of experience, the one thing that has remained constant is my passion for what I do. I honestly believe that my love and care for what I do is derived from my heart and placed into my hands so I can transfer it to my clients’ hands and feet. I feel fulfilled when I see client’s happy faces and happy feet, it is a sign that they are rejuvenated!”

John Baylor
Tai Chi Instructor
John W. Baylor Sr. began his martial arts training with Mr. Robert Lee in January 1973 and received his first black belt in October 1976. In 1978 he began training in Tang Soo Do with Master Myung Seok Seo receiving a rank of 2nd Dan (Midnight blue belt) ln 1980. His training in Yang style Tai Chi and Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu started in 1985 with Sifu Mike Berry and John Johnson. His training has continued with classes, seminars and camps in Silk reeling (Chen style), healing sounds, Bagua Gigong, Tai Chi straight sword, Tai Chi -Kung Fu fan, push hands, and Liuhebafa.
John was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame - June 1998 as Master instructor of the Year. John was the owner and Master instructor of Upper Marlboro Martial Arts Center for 18 years. In April 2019 he received a 1st Dan in Hai Dong Gum Do (Korean Sword) from Master Derek Graham. John has 44 years of teaching
experience in Tang Soo Do, self defense, and Tai Chi.
Franchesca Smallwood
Pilates & TRX Instructor
Franchesca holds a comprehensive Peak Pilates Certificate, which is distinguished by an emphasis of Pilates as an integrated movement system. Franchesca has experience working with special populations such as clients experiencing general de-conditioning & limited mobility, chronic pain sufferers, adult athletes, etc. Franchesca also holds a certificate in Personal Training with the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She has been teaching and sharing her enthusiasm of health and fitness for 5 years. Franchesca is passionate about her work as both an Athletic and Pilates Trainer and says that she most enjoys helping their clients get stronger and accomplish their goals through focus, consistency and determination.”
Franchesca teaches private Pilates & Personal Training sessions
as well as group Pilates and strength training classes. You Will leave your lesson with her having experienced a total body workout! When Franchesca isn’t sharing her talents with clients she is dancing or choreographing for her dances at church and spending time with family. She is hoping to return to roller skating very soon.

Mara Collinson
Pilates & Yoga Instructor
