She is always striving to explore the whole person when working to improve her patients quality of life, she believes the “work” that would have the greatest impact on the patient’s quality of life often resides in balancing relationships between many aspects of their life such as joy, sleep, nutrition, financial wellness, physical abilities, etc. She is excited to explore health coaching with patients to continue to guide them towards the healthiest version of themselves both mentally and physically.
The Perfect Union: Rehabilitative Pilates

In the summer of 2001 Dr. Asher was introduced to Pilates through Polestar Comprehensive Pilates Curriculum at the exact time she entered PT school. She made the difficult choice to postpone her studies of the Pilates method and focus on PT school. Over a decade later, after practicing PT for nearly 6 years she returned to Polestar and earned a Rehabilitation Pilates Practitioner Certificate in 2015. Dr. Asher immediately felt the chemistry between Pilates and PT and her physical therapy practice shifted to a synergistic relationship between the two that transformed how she would use the Pilates Method repertoire to do meaningful neuromuscular work to rehabilitate movement dysfunction.

A Unique Integrative Approach to physical therapy

Dr. Asher’s personal history of chronic orthopedic injuries combined with a methodical treatment approach within the Pilates Based PT model offers patients a greater opportunity to make a critical improvement in their body’s physical performance. Whether the goal is to alleviate pain, restore movement, build strength, or return to sports, she will collaborate with the patient and their health care team when necessary to get the patient well and beyond. Dr. Asher is dedicated to developing herself as a health practitioner and when she isn’t practicing PT, training Pilates, or mentoring, then she is constantly being lead to find additional avenues to help her patients and clients prime the body to heal itself. She is currently enrolled in IIN Health Coaching Program as she believes in treating the whole person.
