What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is yet another tool that you can employ to achieve wellness through balance. Hypnosis is not like the dramatized portrayal from television or movies, but rather a mechanism by which you can have greater control over your own thoughts and your body.

Hypnosis is “a state of intensified attention and receptiveness, and an increased responsiveness to an idea or to a set of ideas.” Hypnosis allows for a state of heightened openness, receptivity, and focus. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

Our clients use hypnosis as they seek to improve their lives by:

    • Quitting smoking
    • Stopping overeating
    • Controlling anxiety

How hypnosis works

Hypnosis is a natural process that we enter into everyday whether we realize it or not. For example, every time we become engrossed in a novel or a motion picture, we are in a natural hypnotic state. In hypnosis the conscious mind is by-passed and the subconscious mind is accessed.

What to expect in a hypnosis session

The initial session typically lasts between 75 and 90 minutes. During this time, an assessment of the client’s situation and evaluation of the client’s goals will are made.

The process of hypnosis is reviewed and the work begins. The session will end with a short debriefing and homework to reinforce the work done in the session. Subsequent sessions are one hour and will focus on the hypnotic state work with a brief check-in and close-out. Although every person is different three sessions are often ideal to address adequately an issue.

Self-Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis is a great tool for creating a healthier you. In these sessions, you will become empowered to apply self-hypnosis in your everyday life. Control anxieties, fears or reduce and eliminate bad habits. You will experience, learn and practice how to apply hypnotic techniques to specific goals of your life. Reach new heights and explore deeper levels of change by connecting the mind and the body.

Weight Management

The key to a healthy body starts with a motivated and focused mind. In these sessions, we will work with you to identify your particular goals. Then we will identify habits or behavior that is blocking your progress. We will customize a plan to help you replace unhealthy habits with new, life giving ones. These sessions are designed to help you live into the healthy person you desire to be.

Stress Reduction

We will develop a customize plan to reduce the particular stressors in your life. Then we will help redirect your focus, energy and motivation toward the life you want. You will learn how to take these techniques into various places you enter. In these sessions we will help you engage your imagination to gain peace and relaxation in any environment.

Smoking Cessation

Take control of your life now. Use the power of hypnosis to kick the habit of smoking. In these private sessions, you will cultivate a mindset for change and adopt life affirming habits to replace the old ones.

Other Packages

A three session package can be customized to your particular needs and desired goals. Additional sessions can also be added. A minimum of three sessions is recommended.
