Beginner Classes

Fundamentals of Pilates and Yoga

So perfect for beginners! This FREE class reviews the essential Pilates and yoga fundamentals that are the basis for all the classes we teach. Although this class is not a mandatory prerequisite for yoga, we believe you will benefit from taking this class before enrolling in a multi-week yoga class. Each class is 30 minutes. This class is offered once a semester, please contact our office for the next dates.

Yoga

Flow Yoga

Go with the flow! In this class, we emphasize flowing from one pose to another (rather than holding postures for an extended time). This class is taught at a basic level so that beginners can succeed, but all levels are welcome. Each class is 60 minutes and includes relaxation.

Gentle Yoga

Take this well-rounded yoga class and enjoy incorporating the ancient insights of yoga into wellness for today. Each class focuses on yoga as a vehicle for deep relaxation, body awareness, overall wellness, and healing. We offer modifications to accommodate all fitness and skill levels. Class is 60 minutes long and includes relaxation.

Yoga Basics Plus Core

Enjoy gentle postures and creative movement to restore your body’s natural balance. Attention will be given to common tension patterns in the shoulders and hips through breath-linked movement, dynamic and static stretching. This class is great for beginners and seasoned practitioners. All levels are welcome to explore their individual range of motion and ability.

Yogilates

Enjoy the best of both worlds – this class is an invigorating mix of basic Pilates mat exercises and beginner yoga poses. Perfect for students who wish to explore both disciplines! Each class begins and ends with 10 minutes of stretching and relaxation. Prerequisites: Completion of a beginner level mat class (required) and a private lesson (suggested, but not mandatory).

Christian Yoga

Christian Yoga

Connect to yourself and to God through this Christ-centered yoga class. We share Biblical scriptures on themes such as peace and trust to help you exercise the body while meditating on God’s Holy Word. You will be able to allow HIS words to enter your heart and transform your life. This class is taught at a mixed level: basic yoga postures, poses, and stretches but some yoga experience is helpful as a prerequisite. All denominations are welcome.

Christian Yogilates

Our popular Yogilates class is now available in a Christ-centered format. You will enjoy an invigorating mix of basic Pilates mat exercises and beginner yoga poses. Each class begins and ends with 10 minutes of stretching and relaxation. Prerequisites: Completion of a beginner level mat class (required) and a private session class (suggested, but not mandatory).

Pilates Group Circuit Classes

Get ready to experience the entire array of Pilates equipment in this multi-week, 50-minute class you can explore the best Pilates props, including:

  • The “Cadillac”
  • The Wunda Chair
  • Arc Barrel
  • Spine Corrector
  • Foot Corrector

Class is limited to only FIVE students. For adequate preparation for this class, we ask that you complete a private lesson package first and study our Pilates Group Circuit Classes video on our YouTube learning channel.

Group Pilates Mat/Stretch Combo Classes

Enjoy 20 minutes of stretching and 30 minutes of basic Pilates mat work. You will focus on proper cueing and breathing techniques. The Fundamentals of Pilates class is a prerequisite to taking this class.

Group Chair Classes, Beginner and Intermediate Levels

This multi-week session of 50-minute classes uses the Wunda chair (because it “works wonders”) developed by Pilates founder Joseph Pilates himself. We take traditional Pilates fundamentals and mat work and apply them to the Wunda chair to give you heightened resistance and strength training at either a beginner or intermediate range of difficulty. Demand for these classes is high. To maximize student benefits, we only allow five participants per class and require all students to complete the Fundamentals of Pilates course and a multi-week mat class before registering.

“Duet” Pilates

Enjoy the fun of working out with a friend–and enjoy a reduced price, too! Don’t have a Pilates partner? Call our office and we will pair you with someone else looking for the benefits of one-one-one training at a lower price.

Yogilates

Cardio Kickboxing

Cardio Kickboxing kicks your metabolism into high gear with a fun mix of cardio and muscle sculpting moves to burn calories. Each class is 50 minutes. [Prerequisite: Before starting boot camp, we recommend that you take a 30 minute private session with our trainer. We offer this private session at a special, reduced rate. Restorative Roulette

The end of your week is a perfect time for restoration! We invite you to come each Friday evening and “take a chance” in this Restorative Roulette class–each week our teachers will offer you a different form of restorative work including, Restorative Yoga, Beginner Qigong, and Yamuna Body Rolling. Be open to the gift of restoration and the gifts of our various teachers. Trade in happy hour or the couch potato pose and join us and invest in your health and wellness.
